2002 Highlights:  He was named National Offensive Player of the Week by Don Hansen's Football Gazette and D2football.com after setting the school and MIAA records with 533 yards of total offense in a 52-28 win over Washburn.  He passed for 337 yards and rushed for 196 on route to the record.  He was also named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week once.  He passed for 11 touchdowns in the first four games, leading MSSC to a 4-0 start.  He ranks 2nd in the MIAA in total offense (262.1 ypg) and 14th in Division II.  He has accounted for 15 touchdowns in the first 4 games.  He ranks 25th in the nation in passing efficiency (138.8). 

2002 Key Stats:  He had 533 yards of total offense versus Washburn (337 passing, 196 rushing).  He has had 1,835 yards of total offense in 2002.  He ranks second in the MIAA and 14th in the nation in total offense.  He accounted for 18 touchdowns (13 passing, 5 rushing).  He completed 60.6 percent of
his passes for 1,358 yards and 13 touchdowns with only 5 interceptions. 

Career Awards and Accomplishments:  He is Missouri Southern's career leader in total offense (7,228 yards ) and is 4th in the MIAA in career total offense.  He ranks 2nd in MSSC history in passing yards (4,528), pass completions (401) and passing touchdowns (40).  He is the second player in Division II history to have 4,000 yards passing and 2,000 yards rushing.  He was a two-time honorable mention All-MIAA quarterback in 2000 and 2001.  He was named MSSC Most Valuable Player in 2001 unofficially just the fourth player in Division II history with a 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 passing in a season.  He led the MIAA in rushing (102.4 ypg) and total offense (273.3 ypg) in 2001.  He is 4th on MSSC's career rushing charts (2,700 yds) and on pace to break MSSC's single-season total offense record of 2,768 yards.  He has 200 yards of total offense 12 times in his last 17 games.  He topped 300 in total offense 4 times in that span.  He is the 4th player in MIAA history with over 7,000 yards of total offense.  He ranks ahead of former Harlon Hill Trophy winner Brian Shay in MIAA total offense.  He was named team MVP in 2001.  He holds the team single-game record for total offense, most plays in a season and most rushing yards by a quarterback in a season (1,025). He also holds the single-season mark for highest completion percentage (76.1).  He was a member of the MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll in 2000.
