2002 Highlights: He set a school record with five touchdown passes against New Haven and matched that figure against Edinboro.  His  touchdown total of 26 is first in the nation and just one shy of the school record single-season record.  He ranks third in the country in passing efficiency (184.3).  In addition to his two 5-touchdown games, he also had four against nationally ranked Catawba and Millersville and three against Findlay and Clarion.  His streak of 13 consecutive games with at least two scoring passes ended on October 19 against California when he played just the first half of the game.    

2002 Key Stats:   He has played and started all games to date.  He has attempted 178 passes, completing 108 for 26 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.  He is averaging 241.6 passing yards per game and has 1,717 total passing yards.  

Career Awards and Accomplishments:  Eyerman ranks first in IUP history in passing yards (7,402) and touchdowns (74) and is second in completions (471), attempts (847) and total offense (6,845).  He places sixth in career passing completion percentage (.556) and his 78 total touchdowns including 4 rushing are the most in school history.  He was named first-team All-PSAC West Quarterback in 2001.  He also had the second highest single-game passing total in IUP history when he threw for 407 yards in the opening round of the 2001 playoffs against Saginaw Valley State.  He has a total of 23 games in his career in which he has thrown two or more touchdown passes.  In 37 games as the IUP starting quarterback over the past four years, he wons a record of 29-8.  He took over the starting role early in the 1999 season, becoming the first true freshman ever to start at that position under headcoach Frank Cignetti 17 years.  That season resulted in is selection as ECAC Division II South Rookie of the Year.  He has led IUP into the playoffs in each of his  first three seasons and the team is in position to qualify for the post-season again this year.  As a freshman directed IUP to road playoff wins over Slippery Rock and Millersville and a berth in the national semifinals against eventual national champion Northwest Missouri State, where his third quarter touchdown pass gave IUP the lead it took into the final quarter.  IUP owns a record of 32-10 during his career.
