Highlights: He became college football's all-time leader in
touchdowns (92) and scoring (564 points) with his four scores on
November 16 against Pace. He rushed for 335 yards and 6
touchdowns
on 16 carries against UMass-Lowell, averaging nearly 21 yards
per carry. He has scored multiple touchdowns and rushed
for more than 100 yards
in 9-of-11 games this season. He scored on a 50-yard run
with 4 minutes remaining for his third score of the day in the
21-18 victory over Bentley, a contest the pitted two 9-0 squads
in a battle for the Northeast-10 Conference championship and a
probable berth in the NCAA playoffs. He was named
Northeast-10 Offensive Player of the Week three times. He
was removed from the game after the third quarter in four games
and left at halftime of another due to injury.
2002 Key Stats:
He leads all of Division II in rushing with 1,884 yards, and
scoring with 29 touchdowns (174 points). He was the first
player in Division II to reach 1,000 rushing yards. He has
gone over 2,000 all-purpose yards for the second year in a row
and is just 116 yards away from becoming only the fourth player
in college football history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season
twice. He has caught five passes for 55 yards and returned
4 kickoffs for 90 yards.
Career: He
ranks 1st all-time in college football in touchdowns (94) and
scoring (564 points). He is currently 7th all-time in
rushing with 6,508 yards on 854 carries. His 7.62
yards-per-carry is on target to be the all-time college football
record. He was named Northeast-10 Player of the Year in
2001 and 2002 and was named first-team all-conference both
years. In 2001, he led all of college football with 2,536
yards and 33 touchdowns. He won first-team All-America
honors from the American Football Coaches Association and
Daktronics and was named ECAC North Player of the Year. He
was also named most valuable player in the Northeast-10
Conference Championship Game. He was named Offensive
Player of the Week from the NE-10 four times in 2001. He
was named Eastern Football Conference Offensive Player of the
Year in 2000. He has rushed for 200 yards or more in 10
games and has rushed for 100 yards or more in 32 of his 44
games, scoring touchdowns in 38 of those contests. He led
C.W. Post to a 39-5 record, winning Northeast-10 Conference
titles in 2001 and 2002. He became the school's all-time
leader in rushing, scoring and touchdowns as a junior. He
has 25 touchdowns for 50 yards or more and 7 of 80 yards or
more. He has the
three longest touchdown runs in school history (91, 90, and 89).
He graduated in May with a degree in Physical Education and is
presently student-teaching to complete the requirements for his
degree. During his last four semesters has has maintained
a GPA of 3.0 or higher, earning Dean's List accolades during the
last three semesters.
